Hello fellow health & travel enthusiasts. Wait.... travel? Why do I have a health blog & travel blog?

It's easy - vacations are one of the best ways to restore your health, to get those healthy vibes flowing and get your happy back. Vacations can balance your being with activities that both recharge & restore, improving mental, emotional & physical health. And who doesn't want that?

Of course you might need to tweak some of your lifestyle habits to become the best and healthiest version of you. But get this - there's no diets or strict workout routines to follow. And, you can still accomplish your goals with some of your favorite simple pleasures every week.

Rockin Healthy Vibes is the "fun way to healthy".

Did you know that mental/emotional health & physical health are directly proportional? If one gets healthier, so does the other. The opposite is also true - if one is struggling, the other one will too.

For instance - if you struggle with daily, chronic stress the first to be affected is your mental and emotional state. Soon after, you'll start experiencing physical illnesses.

The longer you struggle with stress and mental anguish, the more your physical conditions worsen. Trust me - I know from personal experience.

Vacation for Health

You need to get away from the everyday, ordinary blahs. Take lots of mini-retreats as often as possible. Mini-retreats can be any length of time - from 30 minutes up to 4 days. They will infuse your being with healthy vibes.

Mini-retreats help maintain the health of your mind & body, giving it the boost it needs during the day to keep you from getting stressed out and overwhelmed.

  • Having a great tasting healthy dessert every day puts the fun back in eating. Or, go for the big one and have a piece of chocolate cake 1-2 times/week.

  • If you hate exercising - stick to outdoor activities that you love doing. Work your primary & secondary muscles. Plus, there's lots of indoor fun activities - like rock wall climbing, dance classes, swimming, and more.

  • De-stress every day. If you need it, take a nap. Spend 30-60 minutes and pamper yourself daily.

  • Laughter and boosting happy hormones are required daily.

  • Choose more whole foods, not the processed junk. Avoid food chemicals: Danger, Contains Toxic Ingredients.

Yes of course. Remember that daily life will never be all fun and games. Here's what you DON'T have to do to get healthier and happier:

  • You don't have to go on strict diets or train like an Olympic athlete.

  • You don't have to be a crazy health fanatic and suck all the fun out of living.

Hi there, my name's Jennifer. I started my first job in high school, and since then I've been living in a box with 4 walls, devoting much of my energy to climbing the corporate job ladder.

By age 30, I knew I wanted to get myself in better health - to feel better and be the best I could be. I started walking 3 days/week. And Now 30 years later, I'm working out 6 days/week and I'm stronger and healthier than I was at 30.

By age 40, I realized I was missing a big component - staying healthier with the foods I eat and using natural remedies. My knowledge and personal successes have been growing over the years.

Sadly though - my dreams for travel & adventure got lost in piles under my office desk. As I mentioned above, travel is an important element for rockin healthy vibes.

Something About Me

What I forgot to take into consideration for most of my healthy journey was this: sitting at a desk for 10 or more hours every day, and the chronic stress that cames with certain jobs. Sitting & stress really jacked up everything - mental, emotional, and physical health. It caused weight gain, loss of sleep, and desperation that started to consume me. And all my efforts to regain my healthy status failed.

Eventually I realized - No job is worth such a severe price and loss of health. So I quit. Now I'm working for myself away from the corporate world and thanks to the good Lord, I'm doing what I love - traveling and rockin my healthy vibes.

Inspiration for Healthy Vibes

Come.... join me on a journey to becoming the best version of happier and healthier. Use things that you're passionate about to fuel your drive. If you love skiing, or bicycling - use it. If you love a delicious cheesecake - you need to try my amazing healthy version. If you would like to travel, but you're not healthy enough right now.... then let's get started today.

Here's what I start with every day to mentally prepare myself for any challenges ahead - I pray. It gives me strength, comfort, security, and confidence. If I happen to miss it one morning, I usually end up face planting!

It's also important for me to make time for exercise/outdoor activities, friends, mini-retreats, and volunteering - all of which boost health.

Here's what I don't let weigh me down anymore - stress. I've been learning how to enjoy the moment, instead of worrying about yesterday or tomorrow..... well, I'm still sometimes need work on that one!

And, I've learned how to balance myself with restful relaxing moments when I need them, which keeps me feeling energetic and restored. Let's turn inabilities into possibilities.
