Escaping My UnHealthy Life in a Box

Career. Life in a box was my office - 4 walls and a little window. My last job more than any other, left me knotted & drained. It was TOO many years of constant stress and I had new health issues sometimes weekly. Eventually I turned into something like a train wreck, and had somehow lost "ME".

Killer Stress. The scariest day was my dentist telling me I needed to get rid of my stress. Most times I didn't have time for a Doctor visit or a sick day. I knew it was time to start planning my escape from the corporate world. Five years later I quit my job - and my primary focus was geting my health & sanity back.

Health. From age 30, I started discovering the benefits of being healthier. It brought me happiness, confidence, and all around strength. It took me 2 1/2 years after quitting that high stress job that I can finally say - I'm "ME" again. And I'm much healthier. And I love the occasional indulgence.... a few morsels of chocolate!

Travel. After I quit my job, I knew vacations are a great way to lower stress. Did you know stress affects your weight, sleep, digestive health, mental & emotional stability, and more. It was a hard 2 1/2 year recovery period.

So, here I am.... working on my health & travel blogs. I'm healthier & happier than I've ever been. While I love new adventures - I don't travel more than 3-4 weeks at a time because I love my church, my friends, and all my animal friends too much.

  • Find balance, the mind & body are linked. Recharge with activity and restore with rest & relaxation.

  • Don't stress over the mess - it might not be the priority right now. Don't worry about a missed goal - life is a long journey so give yourself a break.

  • Savor the special moments, don't be fearful of challenges, and even if it looks bad consider the positives. And be thankful.

  • Followers - my Healthy Vibes are designed so most people are physically & financially able to do. Those of you who don't currently exercise, start out slowly with walking increasing in length and intensity. Or, choose an activity that you love that works your muscles.
